Today, Gühring is one of the world’s leading suppliers of rotary cutting tools: tools for drilling, deep-hole drilling, thread-cutting, milling, countersinking as well as frictional tools, diamond-tipped tools and modular tool systems. The current product range includes over 1,620 different types of tools with more than 44,000 different products.

These products are also displayed in a catalog, comprising more than 1,600 pages and published in 14 languages, which are produced in-house. Since publication is carried out with the help of the InDesign-Book Function, the going tools did not function for automated issuance. This is where 3f8h.net came in: the catalog-PDF, with all language layers, was automatically separated on a hotfolder-basis and the individual image/language layers were written out as PDF/X-1a. In addition, one complete catalog per language was created in Hires and LoRes, to be able to make it available to the corresponding country for proofreading.

Enfocus PowerSWITCH and callas pdfToolboxServer were implemented during the process.
